How we use AI

Where automation helps produce your transcript, where people take over, and what we never do with your recordings.

Updated October 2026

People produce every transcript

Every transcription order is edited by a professional editor and checked by a separate quality reviewer before delivery. Automation prepares the starting point and helps our team; it does not deliver transcripts on its own.

Where automation is used

First-pass draft: speech recognition produces a rough draft that our editor corrects line by line.

Free preview: if you allow it, the first part of a recording is transcribed automatically and tidied so you can judge the service before you upload. It is labelled as an automatic preview, and nothing from it is kept.

Audio checks: we measure each recording's length and sound quality, and automated checks flag difficult audio or another language so our team reviews the quote.

What we never do

We do not use your recordings or transcripts to train AI models without your separate, written permission, and our providers are configured so that they cannot use them for training either. Automated steps do not make decisions about you: our team reviews quotes that need a closer look, and people produce every delivered transcript.

Premium ASR, when it launches

Premium ASR will be a separate, clearly labelled option that delivers transcripts produced by our automated production line without human editing. Its transcripts will be marked as automated.
